Hi, I’m Antony, an undergraduate studying mathematics. This is where I write up the maths I enjoy most: proofs I keep coming back to, problems I’ve been stuck on, and the occasional picture that explains more than a page of algebra.
What I’m into
Number theory. Primes, congruences, and the strange patterns they leave behind, like the diagonals in the Ulam spiral at the top of the home page.
Analysis. Series, limits, and why \pi keeps showing up in places it seems to have no business being.
Combinatorics and olympiad problems. Short problems where one good idea makes everything fall into place.
About this site
Longer pieces live under Writing, quick ones in the Notebook, and problems to try (with hints) under Problems. Every definition and theorem from every post is collected on the Theorems page.
The picture is a dragon curve. Fold a strip of paper in half eight times, always in the same direction, then open it out so every crease makes a right angle: this is the shape you get. The curve never crosses itself, and four copies turned about a common point fit together to cover the whole plane.
